Nurse Lucy Letby has been found guilty of murdering seven babies on a neonatal unit, making her the UK's most prolific child serial killer in modern times. The 33-year-old has also been convicted of trying to kill six other infants at the Countess of Chester Hospital between June 2015 and June 2016.

Lucy Letby (born 4 January 1990) is a British neonatal nurse and serial killer, who, from 2015 to 2016, killed, or attempted to kill, infants in her care.

I've spent ten months in the presence of Lucy Letby, and I still don't understand her. I'm not sure what you'd expect Britain's most prolific child killer to look like. But I'm pretty sure it's not this.
Photos on social media chart Letby's old life - nights out with friends, dressed up and goofing about for the camera. She doesn't look like that now - her dyed blonde hair has returned to its natural brown.

Hospital bosses failed to investigate allegations against Lucy Letby and tried to silence doctors, the lead consultant at the neonatal unit where she worked has told the BBC. The hospital also delayed calling the police despite months of warnings that the nurse may have been killing babies.

Vore väl konstigt om hon inte fått livstid. Och hur kan man få vägra vara med i domstolen om man står anklagad?
Och att läsa vad som hänt varje enskilt barn är ju helt fruktansvärt.

#9: Har inte följt med så noggrant eller kollat hur det fungerar i Storbritannien men i Sverige var det ett förslag som jag inte vet om det gick igenom för man inte kräver närvara vid ”ringa brott” (max 2 år).
Orsaken till förslaget är att snabba upp processen.

En 33-årig neonatalsjuksköterska i Storbritannien döms till livstids fängelse, efter att ha mördat sju nyfödda spädbarn och försökt döda nästan lika många i den engelska staden Chester. Hon har hela tiden nekat till brott.

The 33-year-old was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six other infants at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Letby deliberately injected babies with air, force fed others milk and poisoned two of the infants with insulin. She refused to appear in the dock for her sentencing hearing.

Barnet var bare to timer gammelt da sykepleieren Lucy Letby prøvde å drepe henne. Totalt er Letby dømt for drap eller drapsforsøk på 14 nyfødte barn.
